Senior Spotlight
Bengal Nation, meet Matthew Macias, '24.
This school year, Matthew is taking five dual credit courses to get a head start on college. He plans to complete his associate degree at Palo Alto College and transfer to the University of Texas at San Antonio to pursue Business Management and Marketing. Matthew is a recipient of the Google Scholarship from R3 Student Outreach and is working on a Google Career Certificate in E-Commerce Marketing he has been selected to participate in the UTSA Cybersecurity E-Sport League.
Matthew will soon begin a paid internship with Toyotetsu's Work Experience. Toyotetsu Texas (TTTX) is an onsite supplier on the Toyota campus located in South San Antonio. They are a producer of stamped & welded body parts & assemblies for the automotive industry. They are a global company with 25 plants in 10 countries.
Matthew describes himself as open-minded and passionate about reaching his goals. He has been a Somerset Academy Brooks student since 10th grade but maximized his time by building relationships with teachers and his peers. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys playing chess.
